Emma Watson cast in ‘Beauty and the Beast’

Actress Emma Watson. (Evan Agostini - AP)
Harry who? Okay, so “Potter” star Emma Watson will probably not forget about the series that made her famous anytime soon. But she’s certainly not hurting for a next project.

The actress has been cast in a new film version of “Beauty and the Beast,” Coming Soon reports. The film’s producer, Denise Di Novi, said Guillermo del Toro will work on the movie. Details — such as Watson’s role and a release date — haven’t been released. But don’t worry. The actress formerly known as Hermione can be seen relatively soon in “My Week With Marilyn” and “The Perks of Being a Wallflower.”

As for Mr. Potter, Daniel Radcliffe, he’s still singing his heart out on Broadway and will be next seen in “The Woman in Black.” Rupert Grint’s new film, “Comrade,” comes out in 2012, and Matthew Lewis is currently looking for a next project.
