From Ashley Greene and Joe Jonas to ‘The Bachelor’: The week in celebrity breakups

For people who pay close attention to the love lives of the famous, this has been a busy week.

First came the split late last week of Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel, a story that has stayed in the headlines thanks tosome particularly unsavory coverage of their relationship in Us magazine. (Well, that and the rumors of a romance about Timberlake and his “Friends With Benefits” co-star Mila Kunis, which, as People notes, have been denied.)

Then there was the whole “Bachelor” fiasco, when it became apparent minutes after the show’s finale that Brad Womack and his chosen bride-to-be, Emily Maynard, already may have ended their relationship. During the “After the Rose” post-“Bachelor” coda that aired on ABC, the couple didn’t sound like they were in the process of planning a wedding or would be in the near future. The end of the relationship hasn’t been officially confirmed, but PopEater, for one, seemed convinced.

And finally, there’s the drama about the breakup of Joe Jonas and Ashley Greene, who now may or may not be dating the bassist from Kings of Leon. Of course, this one matters most to fans of the Jonas Brothers and/or “Twilight” . . . so pretty much every tween girl in America.

I ask you, Celebritology readers: Do you care about any of these splits? Which one disappointed you the most?

Weigh in on this pressing matter via the poll below. After all, this is what democracy is all about: allowing us the freedom to pursue life, liberty and online surveys about the love lives of people we don’t know.
