Giuliana Rancic is “doing well” after undergoing a double lumpectomy this week, her husband Bill Rancic said on Thursday’s “Today” show.
“She's a trouper, she pulled through it and was kind of relieved to get it over with and get the cancer out and is doing well at home,” Bill Rancic told Ann Curry. “I'm adding nurse to my resume now.”
The E! News host revealed Monday that she was diagnosed with breast cancer after beginning her third round of IVF treatment.
Rancic, 37, said she went public with her diagnosis to encourage other women to have a mammogram.
Next, she will undergo six weeks of radiation treatment, but her husband said she hopes to return to work next week.
“We're hoping to get a good report and, God willing, then it's radiation, and we kick off 2012 with a new outlook on life,” Bill Rancic said. “We're ready to take on the world.”
