The E! News host announced Monday on the “Today” show that she planned to have a double mastectomy to treat her breast cancer: “All it came down to was just choosing to live and not looking over my shoulder for the rest of my life.”

After Rancic made the announcement, Ryan Seacrest, her E! co-host, summed up the feelings of her admirers, saying, “Her positivity throughout this ordeal is a true inspiration.”

Rancic showed off her brave face once again on Wednesday’s “The Wendy Williams Show.”

“I’m going to feel more like a woman when this is all done,” Rancic said of having her breasts removed. “I already feel like I have grown so much from this whole experience. I feel so much stronger. I feel cooler.

“And I think scars are beautiful. I think scars tell a story.”

Her husband, Bill, added they would be “a badge of courage.”

Rancic told Williams that she and her husband are trying to find the humor in the situation — namely, the reconstruction surgery she will have after the mastectomy.

“Bill helped pick them out,” Rancic said, referring to breast implants. “I’m like, ‘Bill, that big? Really?’ ”
