If J.K. Rowling publishes the Harry Potter series as e-books, would you buy?

J.K. Rowling ponders “Harry Potter” in e-book format. (By Michael Bager/Associated Press)

The Associated Press reports that Rowling’s agent, Neil Blair, says the author is “actively looking at all the various options” for moving her series of Harry Potter novels into the e-book format.

This seems like a no-brainer considering how massive and unwieldy many of the Potter novels are. Rowling presumably understands that; as the AP notes, she has simply been waiting for the right moment to take Hermione Granger into the digital sphere.

Assuming this actually happens in the near-ish future, would you buy any or all of the Potter novels if they were available for your Kindle, iPad or electronic reading device of choice?

When she isn’t at a movie theater or writing about movies, Jen Chaney is ... um ... probably at home, watching a movie.
