‘In the Land of Blood and Honey’: See the trailer for Angelina Jolie’s directorial debut

Angelina Jolie, director. (Reuters) Angelina Jolie’s first directorial effort — “In the Land of Blood and Honey,” the story of the romance that blossoms between a Bosnian woman and Serbian man during the 1990s Bosnian War — does not come out until December.

But the first trailer for the film arrived online today, and already a number of blogs are implying that the movie, as well as Jolie, has Oscar-nomination potential.

Although it might be a bit premature to start forecasting the number of nominations that “Blood and Honey” might receive, the sneak peak suggests this will be an intense and assured debut from Jolie the filmmaker. Watch the trailer below.
