Paris Hilton, who recently broke up with Cy Waits, was spotted out with Todd Phillips, director of “The Hangover” movies.
People magazine reports that Hilton, 30, and Phillips, 40, spent a recent evening at the Chateau Marmont, followed by a visit to a secluded table at the Roosevelt Hotel to watch a vaudeville show, along with Hilton’s sister Nicky. This date, assuming that’s what it was, comes less than two weeks after Hilton’s split with Waits became public knowledge; the hotel heiress dated the Las Vegas club owner for a little over a year.

Clearly the two weren’t trying too hard to keep a low profile; if you go to the Chateau Marmont together, it’s a guarantee that you’ll be spotted.
Is it possible that Phillips is just sizing her up for a cameo in the third “Hangover” movie, assuming that moves forward? Or is this the beginning of a beautiful relationship? And, in a related question, is this evidence that Hilton could become culturally relevant again now that she’s (allegedly) dating one of the more prominent comedy directors in Hollywood?
