Is it time to put away the cicada shovels? Maybe not just yet, but it doesn't look like D.C. will be getting buried by Brood II, either.

Jack Donaghy recruits Donald Glover, Ryan Adams and Michael McDonald in Super Bowl cartoon (video)

Cartoon Ryan Adams, Donald Glover and Michael McDonald. (NBC)
Here’s the latest episode of a “30 Rock” cartoon Web series starring Jack Donaghy. Sure, it’s a shameless advertisement for NBC’s Super Bowl halftime show. But it’s also really funny.

A cartoon version of Donaghy, voiced by Alec Baldwin, is looking for a new halftime show performer after Madonna injuries herself “rehearsing nude upon a burning cross.” (Fiction reminder! In reality, an unscathed Madge is still set to perform at the big game.) The catch? The performer can only sing NBC theme songs, due to financial constraints.

That means we get to hear cartoon Michael McDonald and Ryan Adams sing the themes from “Saved By the Bell” and soap opera “Passions,” respectively. Need I say more? “Community’s” Donald Glover, as Childish Gambino, also raps the “Knight Rider” theme.

In the end, cartoon Donaghy goes with Cee Lo Green, who sings the “B.J. and the Bear” theme.

Watch the video, which contains one NSFW word, below.
