Jamie Oliver fills school bus with sugar on ‘Food Revolution’

Jamie Oliver. (J. Pat Carter - AP)
Celebrity chef and do-gooder Jamie Oliver ran into a lot of resistance last night when he took his “Food Revolution” to Los Angeles for the second season premiere. To make his healthy food message more visual, Oliver had a big yellow school bus filled with the amount of sugar added to the Los Angeles Unified School District’s flavored milk in one week. Sure only a handful of people showed up and the “sugar” was really white sand, but the point was still kind of terrifying.

The remainder of the episode showed Oliver having his “Revolution” pretty much rejected by the people of L.A. — events he already commented on. I guess Los Angelenos are too cool for the old sugar-in-the-bus stunt.

Watch the full episode, after the jump.
