Jane Lynch takes over News Corp. — briefly (Video)

Jane Lynch’s very brief takeover of Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp. was hilarious and a tad hostile.

The actress, who plays meanie Coach Sue Sylvester on Fox’s “Glee,” was filling in for her traveling boss at the D9 conference Tuesday.

So what were her plans? For one, she said she convinced conservative media personality Glenn Beck to stay on Fox — as a dying patient on the show “House.” Next on the agenda, shutting down “The Daily,” an iPad only newspaper, which she had “never heard of.”

“While I’m holding the keys to the kingdom, I’ve decided I’ll be taking the next logical step and I’ll be incorporating a comics page into the Wall Street Journal,” she said, adding that she’s particularly fond of strips “Family Circus” and “Cathy.”

Watch Lynch’s speech, which contains one slightly NSFW word, below.
