‘Jersey Shore’ season five — and its alleged fakery — returns in January

Jersey Shore” will return to MTV this January for its fifth season. Time certainly does fly when you’re watching people get drunk and fight.

The Situation, Snooki and the rest of the self-described Guidos and Guidettes headed back to Seaside, N.J., where it all began, to film their latest set of antics. Episodes begin airing Jan. 5.

But before you make your New Year’s resolution, “Don’t miss an episode of ‘Jersey Shore,’ ” consider this: the show may be partially staged.

I know. Take a moment.

Comedian Sean Klitzner has created a play-by-play video explaining how a climactic scene from “Jersey Shore’s” fourth season in Italy was choreographed by a producer.

In one of the season’s final episodes, Snooki had a cup of ice thrown on her by a club patron, which causes the tiny diva to begin smashing bottles and get escorted out of the Italian watering hole.

Klitzner points out that the ice was chucked by woman in all black wearing an earpiece attached to a walkie-talkie. It appears she’s a producer. The woman then tells Snooki to start smashing the bottles that are conveniently placed at the front of the bar, which are actually cheap mixers, not expensive liquors.

He makes a very convincing case that this reality TV program may not be 100 percent real. A concept that is a not so shockingly common belief.

You can watch his video, which contains one NSFW word, here.
