Jimmy Kimmel will host the 64th Primetime Emmy Awards

Late night funnyman Jimmy Kimmel will host the 64th Primetime Emmy Awards.

This will be Kimmel’s first time hosting the TV awards show, which will air Sept. 23 on ABC. “Glee” actress Jane Lynch served as host of the Emmys in 2011.

Don Mischer will once again serve as the show’s executive producer, according to a press release.

In April, Kimmel will host the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. On his own late night show, “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” he helmed an Oscar’s aftershow that, with help from Oprah, George Clooney and a gaggle of other A-listers, managed to be funnier than anything that aired during the actual Oscars telecast.

Do you think Kimmel will be a good host? Tell us in the comments.
