Johnny Depp drinks up in ‘The Rum Diary’ trailer (Video)

Johnny Depp knocks back many a mini-bottle of liquor in “The Rum Diary,” the upcoming film based on one of the early novels by Depp’s late friend, Hunter S. Thompson.

The trailer is now online. And, this being a Thompson-inspired film, it’s filled with eccentric characters, overindulgence and hallucinations that, in at least one case, would be totally at home in “The Big Lebowski.”

Check out the trailer below; the movie is scheduled to release on Oct. 28.
