Joss Stone’s alleged would-be attackers charged

Two men suspected in a plot to rob and possibly kill singer Joss Stone have been formally charged.

Junior Bradshaw, 30, and Kevin Liverpool, 33, were charged with conspiracy to cause grievous bodily harm and conspiracy to commit robbery in Exeter Crown Court on Thursday. The men were not required to enter a plea, choosing to only speak to confirm their names. Request for bail was denied and the two are remanded until their next court date on July 1. Details of the alleged plan were revealed in court, but have not been released to the public.

The two were arrested Wednesday near the singer’s Devon home after police were called to investigate a suspicious vehicle. They were reportedly found with swords, a body bag and plans of her home.

At least publicly, Stone seems to be handling the news well. “I’d like to thank everyone for their concern, but I'm absolutely fine and getting on with life as normal while the police continue with their inquiries,” Stone said in a statement Wednesday.
