Justin Bieber puts snake up for charity auction

Justin Bieber has put his pet snake up for auction to benefit the charity Pencils of Promise.

Johnson, a baby boa constrictor who made his debut at the VMAs, has an estimated value of $1,000, according to auction site CharityBuzz. Bidding closes Nov. 29, in case you’re in the market for a celebrity reptile.

The snake auction should come as no surprise to those familiar with the Biebs’ other charity work, which was recently honored at the MTV Europe Music Awards.

But perhaps this is not the best timing, given news of late?
