Kate Hudson, Matthew Bellamy welcome baby boy

Kate Hudson. (David Livingston - GETTY IMAGES) Kate Hudson has a new baby boy.

The actress, 33, gave birth to a son on Saturday, People reports. Hudson’s rep confirmed to the magazine that the Academy Award nominee and her Muse frontman fiance, Matthew Bellamy, are the parents of a “healthy baby boy” but did not announce the child’s name.

This is the second son for Hudson, who has 7-year-old Ryder with ex-husband Chris Robinson. It’s the first child for Bellamy, also 33.

In related news, it seems that Hudson’s highly scientific gender-prediction method — which involved a piece of hair and a ring and suggested she would have a girl, as she demonstrated earlier this year on “Entertainment Tonight” — is not 100-percent accurate.
