The music world also lost “Hound Dog” and “Stand By Me” composer Jerry Leiber, who passed away from cardiopulmonary failure. Ashford was 70 and Leiber was 78. (Click Track ; Rolling Stone)

Jimmy Fallon will host “Saturday Night Live” this December, as he predicted he would in Alec Baldwin’s 1998 monologue. Crazy! (Vulture)

Hilary Duff dropped out of the film “The Story of Bonnie and Clyde,” leading many to speculate that her recently announced pregnancy had something to do with it. Not so, said studio executives. Simply a scheduling conflict. (The Hollywood Reporter)

Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen are the world’s highest-paid celeb couple. Together they made $76 million in one year. They beat out my favorite power couple, Beyonce and Jay-Z, who made a still outrageous $72 million. (The Early Lead)
