Keith Urban to undergo throat surgery to remove polyp

Keith Urban. (Evan Agostini - AP)
Keith Urban has new material for a sad country song.

The Australian singer will undergo surgery to remove a polyp from one of his vocal cords later this month, a statement on his Web site said. Urban will be on complete vocal rest for an indefinite amount of time.

His “All for the Hall” concert, benefiting the Country Music Hall of Fame, will be postponed.

Maybe Urban, John Mayer and Adele can get together and play charades?
