Kim Kardashian is really upset about the Casey Anthony verdict (Updated)

As you no doubt already saw, heard or read, Casey Anthony, the Florida woman accused of killing her two-year-old daughter Caylee, was found not guilty of murder and other charges by an Orlando jury.

Naturally, this news was incredibly upsetting to at least one person who should be pretty obvious: Kim Kardashian, who was actively following the case and tweeting about it today. (Kim’s late father, Robert Kardashian, was a close friend of and attorney for another famously not-guilty defendant: O.J. Simpson. This irony was not lost on a good many tweeters.)

WHAT!!!!???!!!! CASEY ANTHONY FOUND NOT GUILTY!!!! I am speechless!!!less than a minute ago via UberSocial for BlackBerry Favorite Retweet Reply

Speechless? Maybe. But certainly not tweet-less.

Update: Kardashian has tweeted a response to the backlash against her initial tweet. (No, I can’t believe I am writing about this either, thanks for asking!)

That backlash might best (and most provocatively) be summed up via this tweet:

So was Nicole Brown Simpson's family when your dad got OJ off. RT @KimKardashian: CASEY ANTHONY FOUND NOT GUILTY!!!! I am speechless!!!less than a minute ago via Echofon Favorite Retweet Reply

Kardashian’s response, and more celeb reaction to the Casey Anthony verdict, after the jump.

The Karashian response:

Reading the comments here &its nuts people think just bc I was close to the OJ trial I can't have my own opinion on the Casey Anthony case?less than a minute ago via UberSocial for BlackBerry Favorite Retweet Reply

But enough about Kim Kardashian. Let’s turn to the tweets from other bold-faced names. Joy Behar got political.

I am shocked by the #caseyanthonyverdict. Though I can't say this is the first time Florida screwed up on an important vote. #HLNless than a minute ago via Seesmic Favorite Retweet Reply

Scott Baio got angry.

Just hugged, squeezed & kissed my daughter a lot. Now I'm off to driving range 2 hit a LARGE bucket of balls to relieve this anger! #cayleeless than a minute ago via Twitterrific Favorite Retweet Reply

Rainn Wilson weighed in with some dark humor.

Dear Florida, THANK YOU for freeing Casey! She's now available for partying and babysitting!less than a minute ago via txt Favorite Retweet Reply

Michael Moore reminded us that people are supposed to be innocent until proven guilty, although most tweeters were too busy posting about Casey Anthony’s guilt to notice.

Wait! She was already convicted by Nancy Grace and the rest of the media! Why did the jury have any say in this??less than a minute ago via OpenBeak Favorite Retweet Reply

And Sharon Osbourne just may have predicted the future.

Casey Anthony not guilty??.....it's a disgrace. She'll probably get her own reality show now.less than a minute ago via web Favorite Retweet Reply
