If you’re going to the wedding of Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries this weekend — and since a reported 500 people are invited, it’s entirely possible that you are — make sure to wear black or white.
The Huffington Post reports that guests have been told to come to the swanky affair dressed in either black or white, with no exceptions allowed. This information is half-attributed to Kathie Lee Gifford, as well as an unidentified “insider” and “friend of the family,” which puts it in a non-black, non-white area typically referred to as gray.
But given the vibe of Kardashian’s wedding invitation, not to mention the many black and white plates on the couple’s registry, the B&W dress code sounds pretty plauible. On a related note, it also bolsters my theory that the Kardashian/Humphries wedding will have a “March of the Penguins” theme.
The insider quoted in the Huff Post item also thinks that the dual-color policy means that Kardashian’s wedding dress won’t be white.
“If I know her, I bet she will wear red or some color so she pops against everyone else who will be in black or white,” says the anonymous source who may or may not be Kathie Lee Gifford.
One glitch in the red wedding dress plan: as noted in this morning’s mix, Kardashian’s bridesmaids will be in green dresses. If that actually is the plan, maybe the Kardashian wedding will actually have a different theme: “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas.”
