Kim Kardashian voted most annoying celebrity in new poll

Kim Kardashian is the most annoying celebrity in America.

At least she is according to a pop cultural survey conducted by Parade magazine — your ultimate media source for ill-advised things that Brad Pitt says about Jennifer Aniston — and Yahoo!.

Kardashian ranked No. 1 on the most annoying celebrity list with 29 percent of the vote. Charlie Sheen followed close behind with 27 percent and Snooki was in third with 21 percent. It’s unclear exactly how large the sample size was for this poll, but clearly it’s based on rock-solid science ... well, if not science, then at least a little common sense.

In a recent Reuters/Ipsos poll, Kardashian landed at No. 7 on a most unpopular celebrities list, far behind the top vote-getter, Paris Hilton. This suggests that: a) being famous and annoying and being famous and unpopular are slightly different things, or b) Kardashian’s approval rating has plummeted since her wedding to Kris Humphries.

Some other fascinating findings from the Parade/Yahoo poll:

Emma Watson is the former “Harry Potter” star dubbed most likely to succeed; she earned 79 percent of the vote, with Daniel Radcliffe snagging 18 percent and poor Rupert Grint getting a measly 2 percent.

Americans feel that the celebrity most worthy of dating Pippa Middleton is Ryan Reynolds.

And the coolest celebrity couple is the intact Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith (27 percent of vote), followed closely by Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner (26 percent).

I, for one, feel far better about the strength of our democracy now that this information has been disseminated. God bless the supposedly loathed Kim Kardashian, and God bless America.
