Kristen Stewart out of second ‘Snow White’; Bobby Brown reportedly in rehab

A morning mix of entertainment headlines...

Stewart: Snow White no more? (JOE KLAMAR - AFP/GETTY IMAGES)

Kristen Stewart has been dropped from the sequel to “Snow White and the Huntsman.” Apparently Universal had planned to make two movies with the Snow White character, then another that focused specifically on the Huntsman. Now they’re fast-forwarding directly to the Huntsman movie, minus Stewart but with Chris Hemsworth. Rupert Sanders — the director of the first film and the man with whom Stewart had a post-movie dalliance — also may not be involved. Working title of the sequel: “No One and the Huntsman.” (The Hollywood Reporter)

Meanwhile, Robert Pattinson has been cast as T.E. Lawrence, aka Lawrence of Arabia, in the upcoming film “Queen of the Desert,” a biopic about writer Gertrude Bell. (Entertainment Weekly)

Bobby Brown has reportedly gone back to rehab for treatment of unspecified addiction issues, according to his wife, Alicia Etheridge. (Radar Online via Us)

There will reportedly be a hearing today regarding the Kim Kardashian/Kris Humphries divorce — remember how that hasn’t been finalized yet? Yes, they’ve been separated-but-not-yet-divorced for far longer than they were married. (TMZ)

Speaking of divorce, “Basketball Wives” star Evelyn Lozada has filed for divorce from Chad Johnson, the recently dropped Miami Dolphin, following the arrest of Johnson for alleged head butting that occurred over the weekend. The couple was married for 41 days, which is 31 days fewer than Kardashian and Humphries. Why don’t reality TV marriages work, you guys? (People)

Last night on the “Late Show,” Jennifer Garner acknowledged that she is 40 and that husband Ben Affleck turns 40 today. This ultimately led to her asking David Letterman the following question: “Are you asking if Ben Affleck has low testosterone?” (Late Show)

Devo is planning to release a track that pays homage to that much-discussed incident in which Mitt Romney strapped the family dog to the roof of his station wagon. Name of the song, to be released Aug. 25: “Don’t Roof Rack Me, Bro.” (Rolling Stone)

Molly Ringwald’s debut work of fiction, “When It Happens to You,” is out, and it’s received a positive review from The Post. Speaking of Ringwald, I am scheduled to interview her a week from today. Got a question you’d like me to ask? E-mail me at jen.chaney@wpost.com. (Washington Post)
