Lady Gaga gets animated for ‘The Simpsons’

Lady Gaga’s animated form will be featured on an upcoming episode of “The Simpsons.”

“Lisa Goes Gaga” takes Mama Monster to Springfield to cheer up the sax-playing elder Simpson daughter via “speech, song and a flash mob,” Entertainment Weekly reports. Yeardley Smith, who voices Lisa, told Broadway.com that the writers described Gaga “as the happiest, most optimistic person in the world.” She’s also a cartoon character who will kiss Marge Simpson, according to EW.

The always colorful musician has already recorded her part and called the experience “one of the coolest things I’ve ever done.” That’s a big statement coming from someone who played a giant shoe for Oprah and rode a zip line to “Good Morning America’s” stage.

Gaga joins the massive and impressive list of celebs who have made cameo appearances during the show’s more than 20-year history, including fellow pop tart Katy Perry and my favorite guest, Sir Paul McCartney.
