Lady Gaga is unlucky in love, thanks to her ‘effortless’ talent

Lady Gaga shares her theory on why her past relationships have failed, theorizing in an interview with Vanity Fair that men are intimidated by her smarts and talent:

“Perhaps it’s a whose- [expletive]-is-bigger contest. If I go to the piano and write a quick song and play it back, they are angry with how fast and effortless it is. That’s who I am, and I don’t apologize for it.”

She goes on to say a man once told her she’d die alone “with all your money and hit records.” But did she lay down and die? Nope. It only fortified her “I’ll show you” attitude.

Gaga has been romantically linked to actor Taylor Kinney, a rumor perhaps proven by her occasional visits to Lancaster County, where the “Vampire Diaries” star was born and attended high school.” (Or maybe she just really likes hanging out in farm country grocery stores?)

While Mama Monster’s casual swearing in the Vanity Fair interview will most likely not have parents singing her praises, her insistence to stay true to herself and her talent is something to admire. A trait perhaps best summed up by this quote on how men try to win her back by asking her to get hitched:

“Sure, pop a ring on my finger and make it all better. I can buy myself [an expletive] ring.”

You go, girl.
