Gaga also took her rightful place at the top of another list: wacky fashions. Check out looks from Justin Bieber, Katy Perry and more celebs below.
Lady Gaga was her own knight in shining armor, wearing a full-length gown created out of metal.
Gaga accepted one of her awards dressed in what appeared to be a silver hoopskirt worns as a top, platform shoes and a hat that obscured her face.
“Every outfit was made entirely of paper,” Gaga told radio station Capital FM. “It was inspired by the idea of the paper moon because there was a moon on stage tonight.”

Mama Monster added a disk-shaped mask to complete the look.
All of the paternity allegation news surrounding Justin Bieber has been overshadowing what we really need to talk about: his new haircut.
The 17-year-old, who took home two awards, matched his more mature, spiky do with a zebra-striped leather jacket.
Bieber’s ladyfriend and the show’s host, Selena Gomez, looked very sweet in a cream-color mini dress. She also looked a lot like a figure skater, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
Her outfit got a little shorter and a lot sparklier onstage.
“Jersey Shore’s” J-Woww and Snooki appeared to be invoking “Dynasty” divas of the past.
Katy Perry looked like a candy-colored extra from “Grease,” a rather boring departure from the square on her head ensemble she wore at the MTV Video Music Awards.
I will say, those platform saddle shoes are pretty awesome.
Hayden Panettiere looked completely lovely in a black and white dress. It’s a good thing, too: A streaker ran across the stage while the actress was presenting, promising her outfit (and the man’s birthday suit) would get hours and hours of replay time.
