Lady Gaga plays giant shoe piano for Oprah

Lady Gaga. (Lucy Nicholson - Reuters)
Lady Gaga appeared on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” yesterday to perform two songs on the annual “Harpo Hookups” episode. Unless this is the afterlife, the world did not explode from having that much girl-power in one place.

While playing a giant metal high-heel keyboard, Gaga modified her song “You and I” to include the media maven’s name (“For Oprah! Oprah, I love ya!”). After the song, Oprah thanked Gaga, who was wearing what I believe was a veil created from hair, for being an awesome role model. Gaga did the same.

Johnny Depp also made an appearance on the show, gifting the entire audience a sneak peak to “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.” It’s too bad that the “Faces of the Last Season of ‘Oprah’ ” tumblr isn’t being updated, because there were some ridiculously overblown audience reactions to getting movie passes. Don’t they realize Oprah gives some people cars?
