Letting audiences know how long they have until the band takes the stage is a really great idea.

Lil Wayne injures head at St. Louis skate park, tweets about it

Lil Wayne. (AP)
Rapper Lil Wayne busted his head open at a St. Louis skatepark Sunday, resulting in a gash over his left eye that required a trip to the hospital and nine stitches.

At least that’s what I think he meant by this tweet: “The Lou was good but I busted my fuggin head at the sk8park! 9stitches! Gnarly gash over my left eye! Luv the people.”

Fox station KTVI reported that Wayne, real name Dwayne Carter, and his entourage arrived at the DePaul Health Center emergency room after her fell off his skateboard. He was in St. Louis for a show at the Verizon Amphitheatre.

For those wondering, this was not Wayne’s first attempt at skating. He’s been making stops at a number of skateparks during his “I Am Still Music” tour, including one in Tampa earlier this month.

This isn’t the rapper’s only recent headache: He’s been sued for allegedly stealing the song “Bedrock.”

Naturally, this incident raises a question: what’s more embarrassing for a rapper, incurring a skate park injury or, as noted in the morning mix, a flash mob-related arrest at a shopping mall food court.
