Lindsay Lohan has been cast in the Bret Easton Ellis penned thriller “The Canyons” alongside nice guy porn star James Deen, according to the writer. I’ll give you a moment to process that.
The “American Psycho” author made the announcement on Twitter, adding that he “could not have dreamed of a better cast.” If he meant “could not have dreamed of a better cast” for publicity reasons, then I wholeheartedly agree.
While Lohan retweeted messages about the casting, her rep could not confirm the news to Celebritology.
Ellis and director Paul Schrader raised over $159,000 through Kickstarter to fund the film, described on the site as “a contemporary thriller” that “documents five twenty-something’s quest for power, love, sex and success in 2012 Hollywood.”
Lohan is currently filming the Lifetime film “Liz & Dick” and dealing with some Porsche crash nonsense. “The Canyons” will begin shooting next month.
