Lindsay Lohan began serving her 30-day jail sentence Sunday night. Just a few hours later, she was released due to overcrowding.
Lohan checked herself into the Century Regional Detention Facility at 8:48 p.m., Sunday, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Web site. She was released around 1:30 a.m. Monday morning, according to TMZ. CNN confirmed her quick release.
To fulfill the rest of the sentence handed down by Judge Stephanie Saunter last week, Lohan will be required to attend a set number of community service appointments and therapy sessions each month. By her next court appearance on Dec. 14, the actress is ordered to have completed at least four, 45-minutes therapy sessions and 12 days at the L.A. County Morgue.
If she can do follow through with these requirements, her probation will be stayed March 29 and this troubled chapter of her life will be over.
