Lindsay Lohan does ‘GMA’ interview and finds out she (allegedly) has a half-sister

Lindsay Lohan officially began her publicity offensive for “Liz & Dick” by doing an interview this morning on “Good Morning America” while wearing a pair of spiky platform heels in which no human being — not even Carrie Bradshaw — could possibly walk.

During the interview, Lohan, in keeping with the publicity script surrounding “Liz & Dick,” talked about how much she related to Elizabeth Taylor, whom she plays in the aforementioned, soon-to-be broadcast Lifetime movie. In what may or may not have been pre-scripted, Lohan also found out from “GMA” reporter Amy Robach that she has a half-sister.

“Your family troubles are constantly put out there for the public. I know just today there was news that you allegedly have a new half-sister,” Robach said, referring to yesterday’s DNA test reveal on “Trisha” that confirmed that Michael Lohan, dad of Lindsay, fathered a child out of wedlock while married to Dina Lohan. “How do you handle, your family —”

At this point Lohan cut in, “I didn’t even hear that, so thanks for the news. I don’t pay attention to any of it.”

A few comments, and then we’ll go to the video clip:

For someone who was just told on national television that she may have an additional sibling, Lohan seemed remarkably calm. Remarkably. So either she’s just really poised or she was completely prepared for that question.

No, I had never heard of “Trisha” either until this ridiculous Michael Lohan story showed up on TMZ.

For the record, “Trisha” is hosted by a former British talk show host who is now presiding over a show in the United States that is basically a rip-off of “Maury,” which makes sense since it’s produced by the team behind “Maury,” and because Maury Povich shows up in the Lohan episode to interview Daddy Dearest.

Here’s the Lindsay Lohan interview:

And here’s a taste of that “Tricia” episode, which obviously is destined to win an Emmy.
