Lindsay Lohan reportedly places herself on house arrest; Gallagher is awake, telling jokes

Lindsay Lohan has unofficially placed herself on house arrest until March 29, when her exceptionally lengthy probation on a DUI charge will finally end. The actress and recent “SNL” host has reportedly sequestered herself following an alleged scrape last week involving her car and an L.A. club owner. She doesn’t want any more trouble — alleged or otherwise — until her probation is over. (New York Daily News)

Gallagher is out of the medically induced coma he was placed in last week after suffering a heart attack. The comedian’s promotional manager told the AP he’s awake and telling jokes. It’s unclear how long the watermelon-smasher will be hospitalized. (Associated Press)

21 Jump Street” topped the weekend box office with $35 million, knocking “The Lorax” into second place. “John Carter” fell to third, adding only $13.5 million to bring its meager revenue total to $53.2 million earned. (Associated Press)

Rosie O’Donnell’s talk show on OWN, a program that was supposed to mark her comeback to the gab-and-grin format, has been canceled. The last episode will be taped March 20, for airing on March 30.
