The guessing game is over. Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon announced the names of their newborn twins today: Monroe and Moroccan Scott Cannon.
Carey’s rep told CNN that the couple’s daughter was named after screen legend Marilyn Monroe and, like her mother, doesn’t have a middle name. Their son’s first name is a nod to the “Moroccan Room” in the couple’s Manhattan apartment, where Cannon proposed. He shares his father’s middle name.
Carey hinted yesterday that both babies, born Saturday in Los Angeles, had names that began with the letter M. Alas, none of our M guesses turned out to be correct.
