Mariah Carey reveals post-baby weight loss; Brett Ratner steps down from the Oscars

A mix of the morning’s entertainment headlines...

Mariah Carey appeared Tuesday on “The Rosie Show” to reveal her post-baby weight loss and announce that she’s a new spokesperson for Jenny Craig (now just Jenny). Carey apparently dropped 70 pounds and demonstrated that the same way we all show off our post-pregnancy physiques: by sitting on a crescent moon and being lowered on to a talk show stage. (People)

Brett Ratner has stepped down as producer of the 2012 Academy Awards telecast in light of a slur against gays he uttered at a post-“Tower Heist” screening Q&A over the weekend. Perhaps he read the results of the poll we conducted yesterday in Celebritology; 41 percent of you said he should be fired for making the comment. (TV Column)
