Marion Cotillard is now a mom

Marion Cotillard — the Oscar-winning star of “La Vie en Rose”
Marion Cotillard: now a mommy. (LUCAS JACKSON - REUTERS) as well as last summer’s “Inception” — has given birth to a son.

People magazine reports that the actress, 35, and her partner, actor-director Guillame Canet, 38, welcomed a baby boy into the world on Thursday night. His name: Marcel.

This is the couple’s first child. Cotillard will presumably have a little bit of time to recuperate and spend time with her new son before she has to report to the set of her next project: “The Dark Knight Rises.”

Production of the film officially began yesterday.
