Michael Lohan, Bai Ling to appear on ‘Celebrity Rehab’

The cast of “Celebrity Rehab 5” was announced Tuesday, bringing a new flock of B-list patients into the televised care of Dr. Drew Pinsky.

Perhaps the most well-known of the nine new cast members is Lindsay Lohan’s father, Michael, who has never shied away from discussing his daughter’s issues with sobriety in public. In February, Papa Lohan said he was invited to do drug interventions at a Florida rehab center.

This announcement comes less than a month after the death of “Celebrity Rehab” alum Jeff Conaway, who died after being hospitalized with pneumonia and sepsis. The “Grease” actor was battling an addiction to opiates at the time of his death. Another former “Rehab”patient, Alice in Chains bassist Mike Starr, died in March.

Other cast members hoping to get sober include Bai Ling, Sean Young and Amy Fisher. The show premieres on VH1 June 26.
