The first trailer for “My Week With Marilyn,” starring Michelle Williams as the vivacious, yet ultimately doomed Monroe, has hit the Web.
Based on true-ish events, the film tells the story of Monroe’s brief love affair with Sir Laurence Olivier’s assistant, Colin Clark (Eddie Redmayne), while filming “The Prince and the Showgirl” in England.
The film also stars Emma Watson in her first post- “Potter” role, Dame Judi Dench and Dominic Cooper.
Will playing the screen icon earn Williams her third Oscar nom? It’s hard to say from these few clips. We’ll get an indication when the film premieres Sunday at the New York Film Festival.
