Mick Jagger jokes about being an Australian performance artist in ‘SNL’ promos

Mick Jagger is pulling double duty on the season finale of “Saturday Night Live” this weekend. The Rolling Stones frontman will serve as musical guest for a third time, with an assist from Arcade Fire, the Foo Fighters and Jeff Beck, and will host the show the first time.

The famed rocker seemed very at ease alongside cast member Kristen Wiig in the promos for his episode, released earlier this week.

In the actually funny clip, the 68-year-old musician made a guitar appear out of thin air through the power of television magic for Wiig, who it turns out can’t play. “That’s terrible. What a waste of magic,” Jagger declared.

He also joked about being an Australian performance artist who just wants to kiss kangaroos and hinted that he may do another “Mick and Mick” mirror sketch. (See below.)

While the season finale marks the first time Jagger has hosted the show, it may be the last time Wiig, Andy Samberg and Jason Sudeikis appear as cast members. The three are rumored to be departing after this season, although “SNL” honcho Lorne Michaels has said no decisions will be made until the summer.

Do you plan on tuning in to the season finale? Tell us in the comments and watch the promos below.
