Miley Cyrus, who less than two years ago was playing tween darling Hannah Montana on the Disney Channel, is getting married.
The 19-year-old singer got engaged to “Hunger Games” star Liam Hemsworth on May 31, their reps have confirmed to People.Cyrus told the magazine she is “so happy to be engaged and look[s] forward to a life of happiness” with the 22-year-old Australian actor; her most recent tweet seconds that emotion: “life is beautiful.”

Cyrus met Hemsworth, brother of “Avengers” actor Chris Hemsworth, in 2009 when they co-starred in the movie “The Last Song.” Engagement rumors have swirled around the couple in recent months, but now it’s official.
No details yet on the nature of Hemsworth’s proposal, other than the fact that he sealed the deal with a 3.5-carat diamond ring.
We suspect that more information about the engagement, the wedding and what one assumes will be a headline-generating bachelorette party will leak out in due time.
