Mister Rogers’ wisdom remixed into song ‘Garden of Your Mind’

The late Fred Rogers, who hosted "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood," PBS' longest-running series, smiles in this 1994 photo in Pittsburgh, Pa. (FAMILY COMMUNICATIONS INC - AP)
“Did you ever grow anything in the garden of your mind?”

These words were spoken by Fred Rogers, who for over 30 years helped kids become wonderful human beings on the PBS show “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood.”

And now, thanks to PBS and Symphony of Science’s John D. Boswell, that line and other pearls of wisdom from Rogers have been remixed into an autotuned song called “Garden of Your Mind.”

The result will give you chills.

“When we discovered video mash-up artist John D. Boswell, aka melodysheep, on YouTube, we immediately wanted to work together,” the description on the YouTube video reads. “Turns out that he is a huge ‘Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood’ fan, and was thrilled at the chance to pay tribute to one of our heroes. Both PBS and the Fred Rogers Company hope you like John’s celebration of Fred Rogers’ message.”

Prepare to laugh, tear up and feel inspired, then watch the video below.
