Wes Anderson’s “Moonrise Kingdom” tells the story of two young lovebirds who run away into the wilderness of an island off the coast of New England, leading an array of townspeople to search for them as a storm approaches.
As four newly released clips confirm, the story will be told with the same visual sumptuousness and obsessive attention to detail Anderson devotees expect from the director.
The sneak peeks at “Moonrise Kingdom,” which will open Cannes next month, show Tilda Swinton, Bruce Willis, Edward Norton, Jason Schwartzman, Bob Balaban and newcomers Kaya Hayward and Jared Gilman in action. The film also stars Bill Murray and Frances McDormand as the young girl’s parents.
