Nikki Cox and Jay Mohr welcome a son

Jay Mohr and Nikki Cox. (Jason Merritt - Getty Images for PCA) Nikki Cox and Jay Mohr welcomed a baby boy on Thursday, their rep told People.

“We are over the moon, filled with joy and every other cliche new parents use,” the pair said of their new son, Meredith Daniel. Cox, best known for her role on “Las Vegas,” and comedian Mohr were married in 2006.

Okay, Meredith for a boy does seem a little strange. But when compared to the names of Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon’s twins — Monroe and Moroccan — it seems as average as Jacob and Isabella.
