Oxygen’s ‘Glee Project’ names two winners

Damian McGinty, Samuel Larsen, Lindsay Pearce, Alex Newell.
Oxygen’s “The Glee Project, ” a battle of 12 triple threats for a role on the hit Fox show, named not one but two winners Sunday night. But really, all four finalists came away with a reason to sing.

“Glee” mastermind Ryan Murphy told dreadlocked rocker Samuel Larsen that he would be featured on seven episodes during Season 3. And so would Irish crooner Damian McGinty. But don’t shed a tear for “losers” Lindsay Pearce and Alex Newell. They will get to appear on two episodes of the show next season.

While Gleeks might be mourning the impending graduation, but not total disappearance, of Lea Michele, Cory Monteith and Chris Colfer from McKinley High, they now have two new underdogs to celebrate.

Watch all of the contestants perform “Raise Your Glass” below.
