Patrice O'Neal suffers stroke; condition of comedian unclear

Patrice O'Neal has suffered a stroke, according to a friend of the comedian.

Comic Jim Norton made the announcement Wednesday morning on the Opie and Anthony Show.

“We don't know how he is. We don't know how he's going to be,” Norton said (via E!) “I didn't want to do this by myself. I wish we had more news for you.”

The standup most recently appeared on Charlie Sheen’s Comedy Central roast. The 41-year-old, who suffers from diabetes, also made guest appearances on “Arrested Development” and “The Office.”
