Paul Reiser goes on ‘Tonight Show’ to promote canceled sitcom

It seems “The Tonight Show” had high hopes for Paul Reiser’s NBC sitcom when they booked him for last night’s show. But alas, “The Paul Reiser Show” was canceled last Friday after only two episodes. But like a pro, the actor kept his commitment to Jay Leno and made his scheduled appearance.

Of course, Reiser did take the opportunity to get in a few jabs at the network:

Hinting at the Leno-Conan O’Brien scandal: “NBC to my knowledge, they don’t traditionally make bad decisions.”

What network execs “told” him: “We enjoy missing you more than having you.”

His message to NBC: “When you are the last place network, you don’t want to jeopardize it. You found your niche, stay there!”
