Peter Jackson debuts his first video blog from ‘The Hobbit’ set

ckson wants to make everyone a part of the experience.

To that end he’s unveiled, via his Facebook page, the first in a series of video blogs from the set, a 10-plus minute clip that lets us see the costume design process, scenes being blocked, the opening-day ceremony for the shoot and the first scenes being captured.

It also features Ian McKellen looking distinguished and wondering whether he can get a fan permanently installed in his Gandalf robe; Martin Freeman (Bilbo!) being adorably British; and Andy Serkis in a motion capture suit.
