“Project Runway” revealed its ninth winner Thursday.
The final four contestants each presented a radically different point of view at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. Josh McKinley, known for his over the top styles, mixed bright colors with black draped and structured pieces. The usually sophisticated Viktor Luna used prints beautifully, but missed the mark with his see-through tops.
Kimberly Goldson stayed true to her hip urban aesthetic. And Anya Ayoung-Chee somehow managed to pull off a completed line full of flowy tropical looks.
So who did Heidi, Nina and Michael like the best?
Anya was named the winner, much to the chagrin of Josh. The former Miss Universe contestant who learned how to sew four months before beginning the competition showed that style can beat skill.
