As noted in Monday’s morning mix, David Cross and Amber Tamblyn got married over the weekend. Jezebel has dubbed their wedding an alt-music festival because Yo La Tengo was the wedding band, and they reportedly played tracks by Mission of Burma, Superchunk and the Pixies. I have decided to dub it the most awesome celebrity wedding of the year because it took place in the woods, and Amber Tamblyn made her entrance on a boat and people from two of my favorite TV shows currently on television, Jason Ritter and Amy Poehler, were there, and the groom also happens to be from one of my favorite TV shows ever.
Meanwhile, Questlove, who also attended, dubbed it an excellent opportunity to tweet a barrage of photos hashtagged #weddinginthewoods. And I, for one, am glad he did. The Roots drummer’s excellent work has allowed me to tell the story of the Cross/Tamblyn nuptials via his tweets/Instagram photos.
