Reese Witherspoon hit by car during jog, not injured seriously

Reese Witherspoon was hit by a car Wednesday while jogging in Santa Monica, Cailf, the Associated Press reports.

The “Water for Elephants” actress was struck by a car traveling at about 20 mph while she jogged in an unmarked crosswalk. The driver, an 84-year-old woman, was cited for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.

The Oscar winner was treated at a local hospital and released. Witherspoon’s rep told People she is “resting comfortably at home.”
