Report: Rick Springfield arrested on suspicion of DUI

Rick Springfield has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Citing L.A. law enforcement officials as its source, an item on TMZ’s Web site says the “Jessie’s Girl” singer was pulled over Sunday night in Los Angeles. When an officer approached the car and detected the scent of alcohol, he performed sobriety tests on Springfield, 61.

The results of the tests were .10 and .08; as TMZ notes, the legal limit for blood alcohol content is .08.

Springfield was reportedly taken to an L.A. county jail and subsequently released on $5,000 bail.
