Robin Roberts to take medical leave from ‘GMA’; Channing Tatum’s wife joins ‘American Horror Story’

Robin Roberts will take a medical leave from “Good Morning America” to undergo a bone marrow transplant. The GMA anchor said in a satellite interview with reporters at the Television Critics Association media tour that her departure will begin in late August or early September. The breast cancer survivor, 51, announced in June that she has myelodysplastic syndrome, a blood and bone marrow disease. During her absence, various substitutes, including Diane Sawyer, Katie Couric, Barbara Walters and Kelly Ripa, will reportedly fill in for Roberts. (Associated Press)

Jenna Dewan — the wife of Channing Tatum and an actress in her own right — will join the cast of “American Horror Story.” She has been cast as the lover of a character played by Adam Levine. (Entertainment Weekly)
